June 2019: Puneites were witness to the beauty of Indian Contemporary wear from different parts of the country at the Pause for a Cause exhibition held on 19th and 20th June at HYATT PUNE, Kalyani Nagar in aid of Concern India Foundation, organised by Secure Giving Events. Keeping, sustainable fashion in mind the exhibition showcased a fine selection of ready-to-wear apparel, saris, home textiles, handlooms, statement jewellery and bags.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Smitaraje Patwardhan (Architect, Social Entrepreneur & Philanthropist), Guests of Honour Salim Asgarally (Fashion Designer), Sameer Dharmadhikari (Actor), Varsha Rajkhowa (India’s Ocean Ambassador & Miss Scuba International 2018) and Sanchita Mitra (Gladrags Mrs India & Entrepreneur)
Pause for a Cause invited eclectic designers with a flair for impeccable silhouettes and textiles. Designers include Amaltaas, Andaaz by Jyoti Dhawan, Binita Sen Weaves, Drizzle by Kaahini, Ek Alag, Gujarat Hastkala, Haya Basics, Kaarah by Kaavya Bhandari, Kishwah Clothing, Maarwan, Marm, Muchukalis, M’zuri Sana, Naksh Jaipur, Pairahan by Kiran, Parinie Design, RA Studio, Red Sister Blue, Senorita Art by Anurita Bharat, Tulika, Woven Splendour and Zoyashi to name some.
The exhibition was a grand success and ably supported by Corina B. Manuel and Usha Karnani for highlighting their cause.
Organised by Secure Giving in aid of Concern India Foundation supporting 363 grassroots NGOs.
