January 2020 : Sadhu Vaswani lives and will continue to live, age after age. The sun and stars may become cold, the earth may vanish into nothingness. Death has not touched Sadhu Vaswani. He continues to be our Guru. But Sadhu Vaswani will continue to live for evermore! — Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani
Sadhu Vaswani Mission, Pune and its centres worldwide held the sacred observance of the 54th Mahayagna — 16th & 17th January — of Gurudev Sadhu Vaswani.
On the 16th of January, 1966, at 8.22 a.m., he entered the Unseen. On the 17th his mortal body was consigned to the flames.
This year, as every year since his merging into the light, the Mission revered the Great Master through havan, bhajans, kirtans and sevas. Talks of Gurudev Sadhu Vaswani and Rev. Dada J. P. Vaswani were played. Rev. Dada’s upadesh in remembrance and longing for his Guru brought Gurudev Sadhu Vaswani to life.
On 11th January 2020, Dada Mela — a fun-fair for children in the village of Maan, marked the beginning of the observance wherein underprivileged children were served with sumptuous snacks amidst songs and games. Sadhu Vaswani always believed the children were a picture of God and the Mahayagna began to the serving of the little ones. On 15th January, a youth meet was held wherein people shared their ‘mystical experiences’ at the Sacred Samadhi of Gurudev Sadhu Vaswani.
On 16th, Prabhat Pheri, havan, bhajans, kirtans and satsang were held and talks by the Masters were played.
On 17th, Daridra Narayan seva was conducted wherein the needy were served meals and sufedposh seva of poor families was held. Seva items included: tur dal, chana dal, sugar, tea, suji, sevaiya, papad, ghee, pickle, chole, rice, salt and cash. In the evening, an intense and moving recorded prayer by Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani offered at the Sacred Samadhi at the time where Beloved Gurudev Sadhu Vaswani’s mortal body was consigned to the flames. Invoking Sadhu Vaswani he said, “Make us children of light so that we too may shine, as shine the angels above.” Later, Deepak yatra was held, wherein devotees light a lamp at the Sadhu Vaswani Chowk. Scenes from the life of Sadhu Vaswani was portrayed. His illustrious life, his teachings and his divine living were brought to life.
Educational institutions of the Mission also observed the 54th Mahayagna by performing skits and carrying out seva activities.
The Mahayagna concluded with the Dada Aarti at the Sacred Samadhi
