Bollywood’s famous comedian actor Syed Istiaq Ahmed Jafri better known as Jagdeep breathed his last on Wednesday. He left this world at 81 years of age. He passed away at his residence at 8:40 pm on Wednesday due to old-age related illness. 

Jagdeep played significant roles in movies dated to the era of 70s, 80s and even 90s. He appeared in almost 400 Bollywood movies but his role as Soorma Bhopali in Sholay was a memorable one. He was also known for his performance as Salman Khan’s father in the movie “Andaaz Apna Apna”.

He started his career in movies as a child artist in 1951 and later on acted in several hit Bollywood films. Jagdeep leaves behind his sons Naved and Javed Jafri.
