The Union Health Ministry of India on Sunday said that the country has seen progress in the recovery rate of coronavirus cases by 62.93%. Efforts were given by the management of the hospitals, clinics along with the instructions from the state and the centre has resulted in this development.

The recovery cases have crossed the number of active cases in the country which is a positive sign. It has exceeded the active cases by a total number of 2,42,362 as per the officials of the Ministry. 

A number of 19,235 cases have been reported as recovered in the last 24 hours making a total of 5,34,620 cases on Sunday. The government of India has enabled many hospitals and healthcare centres dedicated to COVID-19 patients. Quarantine homes have been created for people having mild cases and are under proper medication. The centre also provided a number of PPE kits, N95 masks and ventilators to different states of the nation.
