Trials for the vaccine developed in Oxford university is to begin in India as soon as the license is obtained. 

According to the trial results published in The Lancet medical journal, the first trial of this vaccine AZD1222 was successful without any major side effects. Some minor side effects are noticed which can be cured by taking regular paracetamol. 

Adar Poonawalla, chief of Serum Institute of India, the world’s largest vaccine manufacturer said that the team is extremely happy to see favourable results of the phase 1 trial of the vaccine. 

The oxford vaccine is among the other vaccines developed in the world and its trials began on April 23, 2020.
