The Indian Premier League 2020 which was postponed is now to be held on September 19 in UAE with the finals following on November 8. Brijesh Patel, the board member of IPL, announced it on Friday. But the board is waiting for the approval of the Indian government to take the match out of India.
Officials from the board said that they are waiting for a response from the government. As soon as they get a reply, they will be organising an IPL governing council meeting to finalise all the details. The agenda of the meeting will be also to seek permission from the UAE government to have a limited crowd in the stadium since the coronavirus situation has improved in that region.
Three venues have been fixed in UAE for the match – Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai.
