June 2019: Le Méridien Mahabaleshwar Resort & Spa, is pleased to announce the appointment of Chef Kiran Suvarna as the new Executive Chef. Kiran has completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Culinary Arts from Hammer smith & West London College, England. With his 16 years’ experience in industry, he has developed his repertoire to provide outstanding culinary experiences. With years of working in luxury hotels and restaurants in England, Singapore and India, Chef Kiran has acquired experience in various verticals of the food industry. Prior to joining the team at Le Méridien Mahabaleshwar Resort & Spa, Kiran served as Head Chef at OASIA HOTEL DOWNTOWN, Singapore, where he established his career and cultivated attractive culinary techniques and strong leadership in kitchen management.

As Executive Chef, Kiran will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the kitchen, designing menus, developing new recipes and training the culinary team at the hotel. Passionately following his dream, Kiran chose food production as his career, and worked in different hotels across the seas.

He is proficient in handling specialty restaurants and has a flair for keeping up with new trends. His forté lies in an array of skills namely; creativity, strong work ethics, maturity to handle criticism, multitasking and the ability to work with a team. He believes “cooking is a combination of art and science that requires skills, & creativity for the preparation of a dish. Becoming a chef takes passion, dedication, and patience.”
