January 2020: Pune saw the cutest kids hit the ramp for the Kids World fashion Week by CHASA Institute of Design & Technology. Kids World Fashion Week (KWFW) is a unique platform which helps fashion designers and young fashionistas to express them. Every year we have around 70 – 80 kids who participate from all over India with us. Director CHASA IDT Chandrakala Sanap provides the participants with extensive grooming and training sessions. What sets this property apart is the fact that apart from the regular kids walking, they also have a dedicated slot for the Down syndrome and Autistic Children. CHASA IDT is the only institute in India to train their fashion designing students as to how to stitch garments for the Special Kids. This year the theme for the special kids was Ikkat and this was formulated as an act towards promotion of the Textile and Indian Art Work.  This was a thought amalgamation as the Faculty and students were of the opinion that the fabric comes with its strength and so do the Special children hence they decided to connect the two and design various forms out of it.

The judging panel consisted of Rutuja Jadhav and Ketaki Narayan famous Marathi actors, Designer Seema Singh, Director Dinesh Soi and (Song & Movie) Producer Ayush Jaiswal who have picked up four participants from this Season to be casted in various Song Albums, movies or Advertisements.

The Fashion & Event Management students were also awarded for their designs and efforts. The Best Design Award was given to Ankita Kokil from 3rd Year, Bhagyashree Ghodke from 2nd Year and Sachin Bharti from 1st Year for Fashion.

Saima Pathan, Kiran Chaudhari, Sheshnarayan Kedar and Gaurav Gulve were awarded the Best Event Management Students in girl and boy category respectively.

Participants from this season will also be given a chance to walk for the world famous New York Fashion Week by CHASA IDT
