 March 2020: Academics have always been paramount to shape the career of an aspiring student. Similarly are the educational trips organized by the institutions to impart a practical knowledge inside every aspiring individual. Every year, the Kala Ghoda Art Festival is held in Mumbai and is the most awaited festival which includes a celebration of theatre, music, films, comedy and world art. It attracts over one lac crowd but this year from 1st Feb- 9th Feb 2020, it was special as it has celebrated the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

“This was an amazing opportunity which INIFD Deccan has given to us. From this festival, we actually amplified our knowledge like how in real life we can give better design to our factual concepts ” – said Interior Design students in their reviews.  Art has several meanings which can be used to define several emotions like it helps to convey the message on societal issues, a hidden story of an occurred event. This biggest festival has offered an insight into numerous rich fields based on literature, visual arts, urban design & architecture, cinema, music, dance for young youths of the country.

INIFD Deccan one of the leading Interior and Fashion Design Institutes understands well that students must learn about Indian heritage, Indian art in the global contexts. Educational Trips are the language of uniqueness with special characteristics to advance the knowledge with a practical vision in which a festival like Kala Ghoda no way should be missed out.  In every section of this festival, students had fun learning with performances on “Stree Shakti”- a classical group, best shots from “Kashish Short Films”, heritage art based on “What happened at Nariman House-26/11?”, a concept of Urban Designs and Architecture, and also, What can tomorrow’s cities learn from the past.

The 21st edition of Kala Ghoda Festival marked by INIFD Deccan’s students had a great time with their teachers which they quoted as “The day spent well”.
