This year the ‘Punyadham Humanitarian Service’ award was introduced and it was bestowed upon Ms. Ritu Prakash Chhabria (Managing Trustee, Mukul Madhav Foundation-a CSR project of Finolex Industries) for her outstanding contribution to social welfare in the fields of Education & Healthcare. Maa felicitated Ms Ritu with a citation, trophy, and a cheque of Rs.1 lakh to her foundation.
In her acceptance speech Ms. Ritu thanked Punyadham for all the honour showered on her and said that there is still so much more that needs to be done for the under-priivileged section of society, and that everyone should come together, join forces and make our society more beautiful!
Prof Dr S.B. Mujumdar very beautifully explained how the concept of ‘ashram’ came into being and its relevance in today’s scenario. He congratulated Punyadham for keeping this concept alive and also for the great initiative of honouring Ms. Ritu Chhabria and Mukul Madhav Foundation who truly deserve the recognition. Dr. Vijay Bhatkar in his address to the gathering explained how science, spirituality and society go hand in hand and this balance has been very beautifully maintained in Punyadham.
