Pune, July 14, 2020: A 10-days lockdown has been imposed from July 13, Monday-midnight in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad where all private offices, e-commerce firms and food delivery businesses are not allowed to operate. The first five-days of the lockdown would be executed very strictly as per an officials statement. It is yet another attempt to break the chain of spreading coronavirus infections.
All the units in the manufacturing industry across Pune and PCMC will be allowed to operate during lockdown with certain terms and conditions. Employees from manufacturing industries will have to carry identity cards and e-passes issued by the police for the purpose of travelling to their office premises. Markets to shut down except milk vendors and medical shops. Fuel stations are to provide petrol, diesel and CNG to those vehicles engaging in essential services. They will remain open from 9am to 2pm everyday. IT companies to operate with only 15% of employees. Early morning walks have been prohibited as curfew has been imposed from today.
