Pune, July 15, 2020: The Pune region of Central Board of Education (CBSE)  ranked 10th position in the region-wise list of pass percentage of the class-12 results that were recently declared. The pass percentage of the region was 90.24 this year. There was an increase of 5.38 per cent of students clearing the 12th board making a total of 88.78 per cent this year.

School Principals said that the 20 mark objective questions introduced last year in CBSE have been a positive sign for students as most of them were preparing for competitive entrance tests with the board exams. The schools across Pune city have recorded an increase in the number of students scoring 90 per cent and above.

Maharashtra was a part of the board’s Chennai region until last year. This year Pune became a separate independent region comprising Maharashtra, Goa, Silvassa and Daman and Diu.
